• Can you give up a few hours a month ?
  • Would you like to make a difference to your community and someones’ life?
  • Would you like to create friendships and be valued as an individual?
  • Do you want to learn new skills?

There are two types of volunteering opportunities available with Foyle Search and Rescue

Search and Rescue Volunteering

Applicants for volunteering must be 21 years of age and over.

Are you 21+
Can you give 6 hours per month 9.00 pm to 3am (Thur, Fri or Sat)
Can you give additional hours during the week for additional actives (Searches and Fundraising)
Are you a team player
Are you ready to give back to your community
If you have answered yes to the above then we need you.
Application packs can be collected from our base 20 Victoria Road, Waterside, L’Derry. Due to high demand we cannot post out packs, they must be collected Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00pm.
The closing date for the return of the application form is 5pm on 26th February 2020.
We do wish to highlight that being a shore volunteer is more than doing duty nights, there is so much more that we need volunteers to do on a day to day basis. We will be following a selection criteria and will be shortlisting to 20 positions; particular preference will be given to those who can provide volunteer hours during the day as this will help greatly with searches and additional activities.

No training need as full training will be given.

Volunteers are subject to a Access NI Disclosure a copy of the Access NI code of Practice can be found https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/publications/accessni-code-practice
