International Womens Day – Fiona McCallion

I joined FSR a year ago. I always wanted to give something back to our community and I have always admired the great work and dedication of Foyle search and rescue. So I knew it was something I wanted to be part of and to bring what ever help I can give to help others in their time of need.

The best thing I can give is my time. The staff are friendly and the very welcoming to the volunteers. The volunteers that I have met are friendly and I feel like I am part of a big family.

My role in Foyle search and rescue is shore patrol. I’ve done all shore training, flood and water awareness, conflict training, first aid training and blue light training.

For me this is a great charity and I’m proud to be apart of it.
